A brief History about MEPCO
1987 - Our History Begins with Screen Printing
Mepco Decorating, Inc (MEPCO) was established in 1987. At the time, they were one of the smallest screen printing companies in New Jersey and now became one of the largest decorator in the North East.
Tackling small and large production runs, MEPCO invested in research and development to devise screen printing solutions for specialty non standard bottles.
MEPCO’s ability to customize printing solutions for all different kind of containers as well as fast turn around was key to their expansion. In contrast, MEPCO expanded their pad printing capabilities to work with unusual shapes and surfaces, adapting to industry demand with a tenacity that would drive their future success.
MEPCO’s next milestone came with the addition of hot stamping capabilities to accommodate requests from Cosmetic companies. Hot stamping worked especially well for the Cosmetic companies that often required one-color designs.

The hot stamping process elevated the look of these brands by adding a high sheen, glossy finish along with a variety of specialty styles such as holographic, patterned, and clear.
When the high-end cosmetics industry started to grow, it was no surprise that MEPCO said “yes” to new challenging projects from innovative brands, many of whom had been turned down by the competition. Seeing the opportunity the cosmetics industry represented, MEPCO recruited a luxury cosmetics packaging expert to lead a new division of the company focused on beauty products. MEPCO also made a substantial investment in new equipment to provide specialty UV finishes and custom-designed in-house presses. With expanded capabilities, specialization in niche products became the driving force behind MEPCO’s continued success.

MEPCO remains true to its innovative spirit, adapting to market challenges and unwilling to accept “it can’t be done” as an answer.
